Giant Purple Orb "Haunts" the Hall of Science

Photo date: July 16, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken in front of the New York Hall of Science. We see what I have repeatedly documented in photos on this blog (in posts labeled "giant purple air orb") -- the appearance of a giant purple orb. We also see another orb on the right.  The photos in this post were uploaded directly from the camera, and have not been cropped. The purple orb takes more than 60% of the original photo height.

Below is another photo at the same location. Here we see an orb within the orb.

The orb appeared even more strongly in the photo below, taken at 9:25, two minutes after the photo above.

But the next photo (also taken at 9:25), pointing towards the ground,  showed no orb.

This purple orb cannot be explained as some camera defect (as it did not appear in the photo above). The purple orb cannot be explained as lens flare, as there was no bright light facing my camera. The purple orb also cannot be explained as dust, as no one ever photographs dust particles suspended in the air that appear larger than 10 percent of the photo height.  The "blockage percentage" of typical outdoor dust particles (about 1 micron) is only one about one fifteen thousandth (1/15,000) of the area (about 15 millimeters, or 15,000 microns) just in front of the camera lens.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night.  The air quality as listed on airnow.gov was good, with a rating of 38. The pollen count listed on pollen.com was low-to-medium, with a rating of 4.4.

Check also this post describing another paranormal-looking sight at the New York Hall of Science.
