The Orbs, the Flag, and the Two Weird Mysteries

The photo below combines two photos showing a flag flying in New York City. In the top photo, we see some mysterious orbs. In the bottom photo, we see some strange purple wedge shape below the flag. I have no idea what this is, and have not seen a shape like this before in my photos.  I may note that photos of the sky taken in New York City virtually never show more than 3 or 4 stars.

On the same night I took the photo below showing the same flag. Now we see a purple orb, a bluish orb, and a pink orb, along with a strange crescent shape (which cannot be the moon, since it is the facing the opposite way that we see a crescent moon in the sky).

Below is a closeup showing the crescent shape in the top left corner of this photo. You might argue that it's a floating dove feather, were it not for the fact that the top is purple.
