The photo below shows a vivid orange orb floating above a building in New York City. This is certainly not the moon, which was only a thin crescent on this night.
I have been looking for someone to confirm what I saw over 35 years ago. I too saw what appeared as a glowing orange circle or orb in the sky, which I first mistook for the moon. I then realized that what I was looking at was not the moon but an orange colored sfere of light that started moving towards me and the group of people I was with. We got worried when we realized that the sfere was getting closer to our position and our first reaction was to run. Then, as we were preparing to escape, the glowing sfere of orange colored light just disappeared. I was not alone when I saw this phenomenon but I just never heard of anyone talking about something that so closely resembled what I had seen on the night of year 1968.
