The photo below was taken while photographing ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background. We see two of the mysterious objects I call orb veils (see this poster for more examples). I will get an orb veil this bright in less than 1 in 200 of my photos, so I was quite surprised to see two orb veils as bright as this in a single photo. The objects had an apparent size of about 3 or 4 inches.
