Striped Orb Floats Mysteriously

The photo below shows a very unusual striped orb on the right, floating near a building in midtown New York City. I have three previous times photographed striped orbs floating about, as you can see from this series of posts.
There was no rain, fog, mist or precipitation on this night. The air
quality listed on airnow.gov was "good." The pollen count listed on
pollen.com was low, with a level of only 0.2.
