On the same day I photographed a woman with a mysterious look (this photo isn't anomalous, but simply has a rather eerie appearance):

The Top 10 Orb Swarms of 2016
I often photograph orbs appearing in the sky in great numbers, what we may call swarms for lack of a better word. Below are some of the most dramatic photos of orb swarms I took this year. All of these photos below were taken on dry nights in which there was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation while I was photographing.
Here is a photo from December 26, 2016.
Here is a photo I took on December 19, 2016. Note the striped orb in the upper right corner.

Here is a photo I took on March 2, 2016.
Here is a photo I took on February 14, 2016. Some of the orbs are much larger than the moon shown near the middle of the photo.

Another "String of Pearls" Moving Orb
Photo date: December 28, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below shows an orb I photographed speeding near a window at Grand Central Terminal in New York. We see the "string of pearls" effect I have 55 times previously photographed, in which we see what appears to be multiple position states of an orb moving very fast.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good." The pollen count listed on pollen.com was "low," with a level of 0.1.

Snuggling Spirit?

Eight-Shaped Orb or Bright Fast Orb?
Photo date: December 28, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin
On the left of the photo below we see what looks like a bright fast-speeding orb in front of the Met Life building in New York. The eight-shape is probably two position states of an object moving fast.

Speeding Orb Splitting Into Two?
Photo date: December 27, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
I cropped the photo below from the top of a larger photo, so I can't tell what was above the top of the cropped photo. We see something very weird: what looks like a speeding orb that has split into two, like some speeding baseball splitting into two baseballs.

Perplexing Permutations
Photo date: December 23, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
I took the photos below while photographing nothing but ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark background. In the top left corner we see four orbs with face-like details, an effect I have photographed hundreds of times since October 2014 (as shown in these posts). In the top right corner we see a bunch of strange half orbs. In the bottom we see some of the strange things I call orb veils (see here for 200+ examples).

Sharp Turn of the Moving Orb
Photo date: December 23, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below shows a mysterious orb that seems to be making a very sharp turn above a crowd in Grand Central Terminal. It looks like a 90-degree turn. The camera seems to have captured three position states of an object speeding very fast. I have 40+ times photographed orbs making right-angle turns like this, as you can see here.

Another Orb With a "Slanted C" Stripe
Photo date: December 24, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below shows a mysterious orb that I photographed indoors.
This is the tenth time I have photographed a mysterious orb with a stripe looking like this one. Below is the photo above along with nine similar photos I have taken (see here for the original posts). In each case we see what looks a "C" shape that is kind of tilted over to the right.
Below is my revised table showing recurring patterns I have observed in mysterious orbs. You can see almost all of the examples of these patterns by opening this post.

Here we see a double alignment. The left side of the orb is aligned with an architectural line, and the bottom side of the orb is aligned with the top of a door structure.

Paranormal Path of the Blue Speeding Orb
Photo date: December 23, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
I have taken hundreds of photos of speeding orbs at Grand Central Terminal (as you can see by watching these videos). The one below is among the most spectacular I have taken. We see a blue orb that is moving like natural things never move. At the top we see an extremely sharp turn of about 45 degrees. The camera has captured about 12 position states of an object moving very fast, which results in the "string of pearls" effect I have photographed more than 50 times (as shown here). The very sharp bend near the top proves that we cannot be seeing any type of hair or fiber, which would never have so sharp a bend.

Blue Orb With a Ring
Photo date: December 23, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
I have more than 100 times photographed mysterious orbs with a ring feature that appears as a ring with about 80% to 90% of the orb's circumference, as you can see in this series of posts. Below we see a very clear example of an orb with such a ring. The photo was taken at Grand Central Terminal in New York. The photo has a very weird kind of "shadow people" look that I can't explain.
