Hexagonal Sky Anomaly

The photo below shows a strangely hexagonal object I photographed above a building in New York City. The moon was only the thinnest crescent on this night.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The air
quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a level of 41. The pollen level listed on pollen.com was low, with a
level of 1.1.

Orb Hexagons Nuzzling Orb Crescents?

The photo below was taken while photographing ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background. We see some of the inexplicable crescent shapes I have often photographed, what I call orb crescents. But we also see something I have never photographed before: what looks like hexagons. We can see 5 or 6 of them in this photo, to the left of the crescents. The top hexagon almost seems to have a cute face inside it.
