The account I quoted in my previous post was the very interesting story of a woman who reported an orb entering into her chest, an orb the woman felt strongly was her grandmother, who died on the same day (as the woman was told a few hours later). A quite similar story is told in this account of a woman's experience the month after her mother died:
"One night in October, I had just gotten in bed when I saw a ball of softly glowing mist slowly descend upon my bed from the corner of the ceiling. I was speechless as I saw it slowing coming towards me. Somehow I knew it was my mother, even though I couldn't discern a body or a shape. The mist enveloped me as I lay in bed and filled me with feelings of love and calm. I had the presence of mind not to move or open my eyes, because somehow I knew that it would spoil the moment. I just forced myself to remain calm and focus on every moment so that I could remember the experience.
My mother communicated telepathically with me by repeating my name over and over, saying, 'Eve, Eve, Eve, I love you so much. I love you so much. Don't worry about me. Where I am, there's complete freedom, freedom, freedom! Tell your brothers and sisters I love them and I will always be with you all.' The mist slowly gathered itself in a ball, once again, and slowly ascended to the ceiling, then it was gone. I immediately opened my eyes and had this incredulous feeling when I realized that I had just been visited by my mother!"
We have four similarities between this account and the account quoted in my previous post:
(1) In both accounts an orb or ball is seen by a woman, with the orb or ball coming from the ceiling.
(2) In both accounts the orb or ball touches a woman's body, either enveloping it or seeming to enter into it.
(3) In both accounts there there then follows what seems like a telepathic communication between the woman and her mother or grandmother, with a message of love.
(4) In both accounts the orb or ball is seen to exit from the ceiling.
The report of the orb appearing from the "corner of the ceiling" is interesting to me, as the first orb photo I ever took (years ago) showed an orb in the corner of the ceiling.
Speaking of spooky round shapes appearing at the corners of ceilings, here is another account of such a thing, made by a woman describing her father's death, and comparing what she saw to a corporate logo that is kind of a blurry ring shape:
"I had turned to my right and as I turned back around my eyes glanced up toward the corner of the ceiling on my right and I saw a circle of mist hovering in the corner. The only way I can describe the circle is that it looks exactly like the Lucent Technologies circle on their sign, like a wide circle with kind of a tail escaping the circle but it wasn't red it was a hazy mist/fog. I have reviewed this in my mind a thousand times since his death and I think my dad's spirit had already left his body."
Slightly similar, but not involving an orb, is the testimony of this witness who reports seeing a "mist in the corner of the room" which she identified as her father. She got a phone call later that day telling her that her father had died of a heart attack.

She Says an Orb Flew Into Her Chest When Her Grandma Died
I've been reading some remarkable accounts at the sites https://www.oberf.org and https://www.adcrf.org. For example, in this account a man reports having a cardiac arrest that put him in a coma for several days. He says, "The bass player and the singer both agreed, though, that at the time of my collapse, they saw my spirit rise up out of my body." Similarly, this account states, "I was shocked to see a mist leave from his head, which instantly turned into an exact duplicate of his body," and in this account a man says his wife "witnessed a mist-like substance leaving the head of a patient who died." Similarly, in this account someone states, "Momma said she actually saw a thin white mist rise above the bed" when someone died in her arms.
In this remarkable account, reported only this month, a woman reports seeing and feeling an orb at the time of her grandmother's death:
"I was on a camping trip, down by the Columbia River. I was asleep, and was awoken, around 5 in the morning. I was on my back, looking straight up at the ceiling and noticed I couldn't move. But, I wasn't scared at all. Suddenly, a bright orb of light came down, through the ceiling and flew into my chest. My vision was filled with the brightest, whitest light I have ever seen, but it didn't bother me. As soon as the orb entered my chest, I knew it was my grandmother Cecilia, she was speaking to me, inside my mind. She came to tell me goodbye, and to tell me everything was going to be all right, and she loved me. Then she shot back out of my chest, and back up through the ceiling, and I could move again. I woke my boyfriend up, and told him, my Grandma just died. And he laughed and said, no, go back to sleep it was just a dream. Later that morning about, around 8 in the morning, my brother in law, came and found where we were camping, and told me my grandma had died early that morning, and I said yeah I already knew."
This is the latest example of someone "ghost-told" of a death. I have collected 100 such cases from the literature of paranormal phenomena. In a very large fraction of these cases, someone sees an apparition on the same day of someone's death, and becomes convinced that such a person has died, and soon finds out later that the person did die on that day, often far away. A Ghostly Mist Among Them?

The photo below was taken in Grand Central Terminal in New York. We see what looks like some strange luminous mist floating about. It only appeared in this one photo, not in any of the next photos. It's not smoke, which I have never seen in any of many hours I have photographed at this location.

Eerie Ecto-mist in Front of the Freedom Tower

The photo below shows the newly constructed One World Trade Center, sometimes called the Freedom Tower. We see in front of the building an example of the strange phenomenon called ecto-mist.
The phenomenon of unexplained plasma-like clouds photographed at ground level is visually documented at this site, at this site, in Mya Gleny's site here, in the book "The Orb Project" by Miceal Ledwith and Klaus Heinemann, Ph.D, and in the book "Beyond Photography: Encounters with Orbs, Angels and Light-Forms," by Katie Hall and John Pickering. It was a cold night, so why do I think that this was not just my breath? I have several reasons. For one thing, I was holding my camera (with a fairly large view screen) at arm's length, and that's a distance too far for breath from my mouth to reach in front of the camera. Secondly, I took a test photo after this, blowing out as hard as I could; and the color of the resulting "breath cloud" was different from the color we see here. Third, we see some fairly sharp lines here that you almost never see if you try to photograph your own breath (which will look very amorphous and line-less). Fourth, the ecto-mist forms a kind of animal-like shape, looking rather like an elephant. That is something very often seen when ecto-mist is photographed.
There was no weather-related fog, mist, rain or precipitation when this photo was taken, nor was there any smoke.

Ghostly Ectomist Imitates the Memorial Column?

The photo below shows a memorial column erected to honor soldiers who died in the Civil War. To the left of the column we see a misty column-like structure. It seems to be the strange thing ghost-hunters call ecto-mist, which is also shown in this series of posts.
I took this photo with the camera at arm's length, and the mist seems to be floating in the middle of the photo (you don't see it on the edges of the photo). Given such facts, a "photographer's breath" explanation is all-but ruled out. There was no precipitation or visible mist when I was photographing, nor was there any visible sign or smell of smoke.
On the same night, I photographed lots of mysterious orbs floating around this column.

Ectomist "Creature" Appears on a Night That Wasn't Cold

The photo below was taken in front of a building in New York City. The anomaly is not at all my breath, because the temperature was 47 degrees Fahrenheit. (I took two test photos blowing as hard as I could on this night, and none showed anything like mist.) It was also not smoke or atmospheric mist (it was a dry night without any fog, mist or rain, and I could not see or smell any smoke or mist nearby).

I have photographed this type of anomaly several times before, as shown in this series of posts, consisting mainly of photos that were either taken in weather that wasn't very cold, or when I was holding my breath and pinching my nose. Very oddly, when this strange "ecto-mist" occurs, it often seems to make shapes resembling animals. I have seen just such an effect in several photos. The above photo almost seems to show some creature with long ears.
I may note that the most common skeptical attempt to explain away such photos ("it was your breath on a cold night") does not work in this case, and also does not even work when such photos are taken on cold nights. The "it was your breath" explanation may have had some weight twenty years ago, when people would hold cameras above their noses, and look through tiny little view holes. But nowadays almost every digital camera has a fairly big view screen, and people almost always take pictures holding their digital devices seven inches or more away from their heads. Your breath on a cold night will dissipate before it gets in front of a camera that is at such a distance.

The Ghostly Mist Looked Like Two Spooky "Creature Heads"

The photo below shows a building in New York City that I have often photographed. This time there appeared a weird anomaly like none I have seen at this spot. A ghostly mist seemed to appear in front of the building, and in that mist we seem to see two creature-like forms (rather like dragon heads).

I saw no such anomaly in many other photos I took that night. I could not see any visible mist or smoke when I took this photo, and did not smell anything. The previous photo and the next photo I took (taken within a few seconds of this one) showed no anomaly like this-- but the next photo showed 4 orbs in a line. I will publish that photo tomorrow.

A Warm Evening Encounter with a Ghostly Mist

The photo below was taken on Fifth Avenue in New York City. It was a clear, warm night with a temperature of 66 degrees. We see a very strange anomaly on the left side of the photo. It looks like one of the ghostly mists that I have previously photographed in this series of photos.
This "ghostly mist" appeared suddenly, and was visible with my eyes for an instant. In the composite photo below, the first photo is the photo I took a few seconds before the photo above, and the third photo is the photo taken a few seconds after I took the photo above. All three photos were taken at 9:02 PM.
There is no chance at all that this "ghostly mist" was my breath, because with a temperature of 66 degrees, it was way too warm for me to see my breath. I could not smell or see any smoke nearby.
A photo such as this is not at all rare. Many photographers have taken similar photos, as you can see by doing a Google image search for "ghostly mist." A Midsummer's Ghostly Mist

At 9:23 while walking in New York City I took the photo below, which seemed to show some strange mist that I could not see with my eyes. There was no sign or smell of smoke. I was facing an apartment tower. There is an orb floating to the left of the tower.
The weather was perfectly clear, and the next photo (from the same angle) showed no such anomaly.
Upon returning to this same place at 9:47 I took a photo that looked normal, except for the appearance of an orb that was not the moon.
But then the next photo, from the same angle, showed an extremely thick haze or mist. With my eyes I could see no trace of smoke, fog or mist in front of me. Judging from the photo below, you might think some great fire was burning in front of me -- but my eyes could see no sign of smoke, fog or mist, nor any sign of anything ahead of me that might be producing this anomaly.
In the next photo taken a few seconds later, this strange mist or haze had half faded away.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night that I could see or feel (except for the misty item above which appeared only in this one place). The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good." The temperature was very warm, so there was no possibility I was seeing my own breath.

Dragon Seems to Form From a Ghostly Mist

This photo was taken in front of an old house in New York. The photo shows an unexplained thick mist which was not visible to the eye. I pursed my lips and pinched my nose when taking the photo, so the "mist" cannot be explained as my breath. The average temperature on this day was 40 degrees, and there was no fog. On this day, I could not even see my breath during normal breathing.
Below is a closeup of a strange face that seems to form from this ghostly mist, a face resembling that of a dragon.
In Western movies, dragons are often depicted as evil things. But in Chinese culture, dragons are regarded very differently, as symbols of good luck, wisdom, and longevity. This is why many Chinese restaurants use dragon motifs and decorations. At this location, Chinese culture was very influential.
Following the terminology used on the "Orbs and More" website (where many similar photos exist), I am calling this a "plasma cloud."

I pursed my lips and pinched my nose when taking the photo, so the "mist" cannot be explained as my breath. The average temperature on this day was 40 degrees, and there was no fog. On this day, I could not even see my breath during normal breathing.
Following the terminology used on the "Orbs and More" website (where many similar photos exist), I am calling this a "plasma cloud."

A Vaporous Anomaly

The phenomenon of unexplained plasma-like clouds photographed at ground level is visually documented at this site, at this site, in the book "The Orb Project" by Miceal Ledwith and Klaus Heinemann, Ph.D, and in the book "Beyond Photography: Encounters with Orbs, Angels and Light-Forms," by Katie Hall and John Pickering. The photo discussed here is consistent with these reports.
These anomalies are sometimes called "light forms" or "plasma clouds," although a Google image search for "ghostly mist" or "ecto-mist" will show the most examples.
In this photo taken in front of a very old house in New York City, we see a strange unexplained thing. There was no mist, steam, smoke, or fog visible when the photo was taken. The weather was clear, the temperature was 35 degrees, and the dew point was 23 degrees. I could not see my own breath in the air. It was no smudge on the lens, as photos taken soon before and after showed no such mist. Following the terminology used on the "Orbs and More" website (where many similar photos exist), I am calling this a "plasma cloud."
Photos taken elsewhere four hours later in the night (when it was colder) produced no trace of any such mist, even when I was deliberately blowing (which pretty much rules out any "your own breath" hypothesis).

A "Plasma Cloud" and an Orb
