Station Swarm

The photo shows a group of mysterious orbs I photographed in Grand Central Terminal in New York. The one at the top right appears to be moving fast.

I get at this place a high amount of what I call "vertical bias" in the positioning of orbs. The orbs do not at all appear randomly scattered across the picture area. Instead,  the photos show 90% of the orbs in the upper part of the photo area, with very few in the lower part of the photo area.  See here for 49 examples of this type of "vertical bias."

Fleeting Wonders

The photo below show some sky orbs I photographed on a dry night in New York City. On this night my photographic experience was very strange. My sky photos kept alternating between photos that looked like this, and completely normal photos showing no orbs.

Vertical Bias of the Orb Swarm

The photo below shows a swarm of orbs I photographed on a dry night in New York City. The building occupies about 50% of the photo, but 95% of the orbs appear above the building. This shows we are not seeing any particles very close to the camera, which would be randomly scattered around the photo area. I have seen this type of "orb vertical bias" in many photos, as shown here.

Mystifying Climax of the Orb Storm

The photo below (taken on a dry night) shows a huge swarm of orbs above a building in New York City. My eyes  could not notice anything unusual in the air, and there was no unusual smell.

I took the photo at 9:10 PM. The previous photo, taken a few seconds earlier (also at 9:10 PM), showed not a single orb.

A Puzzling Sky Swarm

The photo below shows some mysterious orbs I photographed near the Chrysler Building in New York. The brightest orb seems to be resting on a building top. Notice there are no orbs near the bottom of the photo. It's the same "vertical bias" I've photographed many times before, with lots of orbs at the top of the photo and few or none at the bottom.  This shows we are not seeing natural particles near the camera, which would be spread evenly around the photo area.

Fleeting Decoration of the Night Orbs

The photo below shows some mysterious orbs floating above the Chrysler Building in New York.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night.  The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good" with a rating of 32. A photo taken from this angle a few seconds later showed no such orbs. As in all of my orb photos, there was no sign or smell of any dust nearby.

A Paranormal Sky

The photo below a swarm of orbs I photographed above a building in New York City. We see here a strong case of what I call orb "vertical bias," the tendency of orbs to appear above buildings in the foreground of the photo, rather than being randomly scattered across the photo area.  Such a tendency (which I have many times photographed) is a strong indication we are not seeing here any particles near the camera, which would be randomly distributed around the photo area.

The photo below shows some purple orbs and bright white orbs above a building in New York City. Note the "vertical bias" (something I frequently see, as shown in this series). We only see orbs above the buildings, which is not the random photo positions we would see if natural particles near the camera were the cause.

The orb in the top right corner is a striped orb, as shown in this closeup.  This is the 140th striped orb I have photographed (see here for other examples).

A Striped Purple-Red Sky Orb

Below is a closeup of the strange orb (I used the IrfanView "Auto-adjust colors" menu option on the closeup).

 This is the 13th time I have photographed a striped orb floating in the air, as shown here (the link shows several other striped sky orbs). 

There was no rain, fog, mist or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good."

Note how in the top photo we see lots of orbs, but  none of them in front of the buildings. That's a strong indication we are not seeing any particles near the camera, which would be evenly scattered around the photo area.  See here for 31 similar photos, many of which show lots of orbs in the sky, but no orbs in front of buildings at the bottom of the photos.
