The photo below a swarm of orbs I photographed above a building in New York City. We see here a strong case of what I call orb "vertical bias," the tendency of orbs to appear above buildings in the foreground of the photo, rather than being randomly scattered across the photo area. Such a tendency (which I have many times photographed) is a strong indication we are not seeing here any particles near the camera, which would be randomly distributed around the photo area.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night.
