Night Puzzle: The Purple Sky Orbs

The photos below show two purple orbs that I photographed above buildings in New York City. The one on the right seems to be moving fast.
There was no rain, fog, mist or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 17 (anything below 50 is considered good).

Tail of a Moving Orb

The photo below shows a bright orb that seems to be ascending up into the sky like some launched rocket. The orb was photographed in midtown Manhattan.
There was no rain, fog, mist or precipitation on this night. Skeptics fail miserably when they try to explain these "orb tails." Sometimes they claim they are falling raindrops, even though I have more than 60 photos of such "orb tails" taken in completely dry outdoor weather (and the orb shown here is rising, not falling). Then there is the "moving insect" explanation, which completely fails for a photo like this because insects are not round, insects don't move fast enough to produce an effect like we see here, and moving insects don't fly about in New York City during January.

Orb Trio Speeds South While the Wind Blows North

The photo below shows a bunch of orbs above a US flag.
A closeup shows 3 orbs that seem to be moving quickly towards the right of the photo (which was in a southern direction). Look closely to see the trailing "comet tails" of these orbs, which have a purplish color.
But when we look at the flag in the top photo, we see that the wind was not blowing in a southern direction (toward the right of the photo). The wind was blowing in a northern direction, toward the left of the photo. That pretty much proves that these things can't be dust particles being blown by the wind.

The Orbs Flew South, But the Wind Blew North

The photo below was taken of a building in New York and shows something remarkable.
We see at the top of the photo a mysterious orb with a "comet tail." The orb seems to be moving in one particular direction. Below is a closeup.
But notice the direction in which the flag is blowing. The flag is blowing in the opposite direction. So clearly we cannot have here any dust particle that is being blown by the wind, because in such a case we would see this orb appear to be pointing in the same direction as the flag.
The same contrast between the wind direction and the direction of a moving orb is shown in the photo below taken on the same day.

Orb Hurtles Past the Bank of America Tower

The photo below shows the Bank of America tower in Manhattan. The tower (on the right) is reflected by the building on the left. In the middle top of the photo, we see an orb hurtling by.
Below is a closeup of the orb. We cannot see any detail, but we can see that it shows motion blur. This is an indication it was moving fast, way too fast for it to be a dust particle. I guess this orb wasn't sticking around to check out the Bank of America tower.
There was no precipitation, fog, or mist on this night, and the air quality listed on airnow.gov was "moderate" with a number of 55, close to the number of 49 that would qualify as "good."
