The Blue Sky Blob and the "Precise" Orb

The photo below shows what I have 9 times previously photographed with my full-spectrum camera: a strange blue glow in the sky. Note the orb in the left photo, which seems to have rather precisely placed itself in front of the narrow top of the column.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night.

A Baffling Sky Quirk

The photo below shows a strange blue glow in the sky, along with some orbs that appeared next to it.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation when this photo was taken, or during the preceding 50 minutes.  The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 46.

Orbs and the Blue Sky Glow

The photo below shows a strange blue sky glow near a church in New York City, a blue sky glow that I have photographed several times before. Near the glow are some orbs, one of them quite bright.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation when this photo was taken, or during the preceding 50 minutes.  The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 46.

This sky glow also appeared in several other photos I took at different spots this night. What was very strange is that when it first appeared in my photos, it was much lower in the sky.

Orb and the Blue Sky Glow

The photo below shows a bright orb that appeared near a building in New York City, on a night when the moon was just a half-moon.  Above the orb we can see a mysterious blue glow in the sky, like I have several times photographed before (as shown here).

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night.

Return of the Spooky Sky Blob

The photos below show a strange blue blob in the sky that I photographed several times last night in New York City, only when pointing towards the western sky.  I have five times previously photographed such an anomaly. This time the strange blue blob was high above the horizon, about 50 degrees above the horizon (using a system in which directly overhead is 90 degrees). Other times I have seen this strange glow closer to the horizon.

The photo below shows a yellow orb that seems to be speeding up into the sky. To the right we see an eerie blue glow in the sky, as I have several times previously photographed.  Should we call this a paranormal twofer?

There was no rain, fog, mist or precipitation when I was photographing on this night.

Mystery of the Blue Sky Glow in Queens, NY

The two photos below show a mysterious blue glow in the sky that I photographed at about 9:15 PM last night.  I live in the Queens borough of New York City.

On December 26, 2015 a photographer photographed a similar blue light in the night sky in Queens, NY, as shown here.  (Since all of the photos on this site are entirely authentic, you should never be surprised to learn about other photographers confirming what is shown on this site.)  When you look at some of the comments on that video, some people are suggesting that the light may have come from the New York Hall of Science.

But on this night the New York Hall of Science had closed three hours before my photo, at 6 PM. I rather doubt that this museum was blasting out great amounts of blue light three hours after its closing. When I passed by that museum after hours last summer, I saw it giving off little light. The glow I photographed on May 4, 2016 was also presumably not from Citi Field, since on this day the Mets had played a day game at 1:00 PM, not a night game.

While the location of the light shown above is consistent with the idea that the New York Hall of Science was causing the event, another photo I took is inconsistent with such a hypothesis.

Below are photos I took on March 24, 2016, facing east (at a location east of the New York Hall of Science), as reported here. The New York Hall of Science was in the opposite direction, to the west. But the photos still show a blue sky glow and also a green sky glow.

Moreover, the photo here I took here of a blue sky glow shows it to the right of a column, but if it had been coming from the New York Hall of Science, it should have been to the far left of that column.

Return of the Blue Sky Blob

I have two previous times published photos of a strange blue blob in the sky.  On this night I photographed the same weird thing. It showed up again and again in a series of photos taken over five minutes.

The Blue Sky Blob Changed Into Green Repeatedly

On this night I saw something very strange in the display of my full-spectrum camera. There was a blue blob in the sky, about three times the width of the moon. Several times it seemed to change color from blue to green. First I would see the blue blob in the camera display, and and then maybe 30 seconds later I would see it with a green color in the camera display. The two photos below capture this strange anomaly.  The photos were taken about 30 seconds apart. I was several miles away from Manhattan, and the blob appeared when I faced east, pointing away from Manhattan.

A Strange Blue Blob in the Night Sky

The photo below (showing a Civil War memorial in New York City) shows two types of strange weirdness. The first anomaly is the two orbs floating about (the brighter one is not the moon, and did not appear in the next photo from this angle). The second anomaly is the strange blue blob in the sky.

I could see the blue blob with my naked eye. A Google search picked up a warning that you might be able to see the Northern Lights in New York state on this day, because of a solar eruption. But the photo was taken facing west, not north; and the blob looks nothing like pictures of the Northern Lights.  I then saw a news item saying you would not be able to see the Northern Lights from New York City on this day.  A Google search fails to show anyone else who photographed this blue glow.

Another shot from a different location showed the same blue sky blob.
