Visitation of the Giant Purple Orbs

Photo date: June 29, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

In the photo below (which is the full, original photo without any cropping or color adjustment), we see two large purple orbs. They cannot be the result of lens flare, as the place photographed is a dark place, and no bright lights were facing me when the photo was taken. These orbs also cannot be dust, as they are way too big to be dust.  Those who claim that dust in front of the camera can cause orbs say that dust orbs cannot be larger than about 10% of the original photo size (and when you actually photograph dust raised in front of the camera, you don't get dust orbs larger than about 5% of the original photo width). But these orbs are both more than 25% of the original photo width.

What is very interesting about the bottom orb is that it is clearly behind the concrete wall, which was about a meter from me.  The whole bottom part of the orb is blocked by the concrete wall.  This is additional proof that this orb could not have been a speck of dust near the camera.  For similar photos, see my posts labeled "air orb too distant to be dust" and "air orb to large to be dust."

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night.   The air quality (as listed on airnow.gov)  was good, with a rating of 22 (anything below 50 is considered good). The pollen level as listed on pollen.com was medium, with a rating of 5.1.

Old Glory and Orb Glory

Photo date: June 29, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below shows a flag in New York City, at a war memorial.  We see two large orbs near the flag, one purple and one green.  The green orb almost looks like a face looking to the left.

Another photo taken at the same spot and the same time shows a blue orb near the flag. None of these objects was the moon, which was in an opposite part of the sky.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night.   The air quality (as listed on airnow.gov)  was good, with a rating of 22 (anything below 50 is considered good). The pollen level as listed on pollen.com was medium, with a rating of 5.1.

This Wedding Has Been Orb-Blessed

Photo date: June 27, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

In this photo taken in Grand Central Station in New York, we see a couple posing for wedding photos in the station. We also see three mysterious orbs that have arrived on the scene.  Perhaps this is some omen of good luck.

A Rare Green-Orange Orb

In this photo of a drop of pure, clean water, we see a rare green-orange orb.  The orb seems perfectly happy with his double-color state.

Orb Playfulness, Or Just the Weirdest Shirt Ever?

Photo date: May 15, 2015.  Photographer: Mark Mahin.

Here is a most unusual photo taken in Grand Central Station in New York. It shows what could be a  shirt that has on its back two eyes and a great big red tongue sticking out.

weird shirt
Now were it not for the fact that my photos of this place (as shown on this site) have displayed one of the weirdest collections of photographic strangeness ever recorded, I would simply conclude that this is merely a man who is walking around with pretty much the strangest shirt ever, a shirt that has on its back a face with a great big tongue sticking out.

But I wonder whether this is some kind of orb-related weirdness such as I photographed here in a photo that seems to show an orb sticking out its tongue. Given that I photograph many blue orbs at this place, and quite a few that seem to have faces, it may be this is a similar orb that is positioned around this man's upper torso.

"Ghost Balls" at a 17th Century House

Photo date: June 28, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below shows one of the oldest houses in New York City, one that dates all the way back to the 17th century.  We see several mysterious orbs floating around the house. One looks pink (with touches of orange).

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this evening. The air quality was good, with a rating of 21 on airnow.gov (anything below 50 is considered good). It was a very low pollen day,  with a pollen level of 0.6 (according to pollen.com).

A Moving Orb Hurtles Past Them

Photo date: June 27, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below shows a balcony area in Grand Central Station in New York. We see some men looking down at the station. Making an arc-like motion, an orb seems to zoom past the men, making a blur of motion. Above them is another orb with a similar color and size, but one that seems to not be moving.

moving orb
Below is a closeup of the moving orb. You can almost seem to see a face on the left, but it is not clear enough for me to label it as a face.

moving orb
At about the same time, I got a photo showing two other orbs near these men:

At about the same time, I got the photo below, showing something looking very odd. It almost looks like an arrow-shaped orb has appeared, pointing towards one of the men in the group.

Orb Veils in a Variety of Shapes

Photo date: June 3, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken while photographing ordinary water drops falling against a dark background. In this photo we see the strange, wispy things I call orb veils. The photo shows a variety of these orb veils.

orb veils
Some are shaped like shields, as the closeup below shows.

Others are shaped like little tornadoes, as the closeup below shows.

orb face
Others are shaped like half-pickles, as the closeup below shows.

Here is another closeup showing these "half-pickles":

Others are shaped like strange little triangles with an arc-shaped bottom, as shown below.

These orb veils sometimes appear in "stacks" with as many as 8 having the same shape. The photo above is a "short stack" consisting of only two of these veils. See my posts labeled "orb veils" for dozens of similar photos.

Some "Toothy" Orb Faces

Photo date: February 14, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken while photographing ordinary water drops falling against a dark background. We seem to see several orb faces, some of which look as if they have teeth within their mouths.

Orbs "Triangulate" the Tower

Photo date: June 17, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

In this photo we see three rather large orbs forming a triangle near a tower in New York City. Each orb is a slightly different color. two are purple, and one blue.

Perplexing Pink Pair

Photo date: April 26, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo was was taken pointing up towards the top of a building in New York City. We see two mysterious orbs. One is a very vivid pink color.  The other one is a white orb surrounded by a thick pink aura.

Orb Rests on Shopper's Head

Photo date: June 27, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken in Grand Central Station in New York. We see a large blue orb that seems to be resting on the head of some woman carrying a blue shopping bag.  We might call this an "orb halo."  We can almost seem to see a big friendly grin on the orb.

Speeding Colorful Faces in Water Drops

Photo date: June 22, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken while photographing pure, clean water drops falling against a dark background. The photo seems to show quite a few orb faces inside the water drops: one orange, one blue, and some of them white. We see what seems to be a very rapid circular motion around the edges of the water drops. It's another example of what I call the orb centrifuge effect, which is shown in 65 posts on this blog.

A Rare Red Orb in the Sky

Photo date: May 12, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

Below we see a photo of the night sky that shows something that rarely appears in my photos of the sky: a red orb, visible in the top left corner of this photo.

Below is a closeup of the red orb.

These photos have not been color-adjusted, and look exactly as in the original photo. The object above was not the moon, which was less than a half moon on this night. There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality as listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 44.

Green Orb in the Station

We see two mysterious orbs here, one on the left and one on the right. The orb on the right seems to be moving in a sharp arc-like motion. Below is a closeup showing it.

Nonconformist Orb Crescent

Photo date: June 15, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken while I was photographing pure, clean water drops falling against a dark background. We see the mysterious things I call orb crescents.  Almost all of them are white colored, except for one that is orange colored.  The orange color is an inexplicable as the crescent shape.

Empire State Enigma

Photo date: June 24, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below shows the Empire State Building in New York City. We see a big bright white orb that seems to be floating near the top of the building.  This was not the moon, which was only a half-moon on this night.  The object wasn't visible in several photos taken from the same angle.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good" with a rating of 21, and the pollen count listed on pollen.com was medium, with a level of 6.1.

Anomaly Atop the Skyscraper

Photo date: June 24, 2015.  Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below shows the upper half of a skyscraper in New York. We see a purple orb that seems to be perched on the exact top of the skyscraper.  This was not the moon, which was only a half moon on this night.  The object did not show up in other photos taken of this building on this night.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good" with a rating of 21, and the pollen count listed on pollen.com was medium, with a level of 6.1.

Bright White-Bluish Orb Speeder

Below is a closeup of the orb in the center.  The object was apparently moving very fast.  When you pour lots of dust right in front of the camera, and takes photos, you will never see something that looks as bright and fast-moving as this.

A Yellowish-Orange Orb Veil

Photo date: April 1, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken while photographing ordinary water drops falling against a back background. In addition to a drippy water drop on the left and a water drop on the right, we see a strange yellowish-orange object I call an orb veil. These objects tend to have very distinctive shapes with spiky edges, but in this case the orb veil seems to resemble the head of a dog.

orb veil
See my posts labeled "orb veil" for numerous other examples of this phenomenon. These orb veils are normally whitish colored, but sometimes are orange colored. This is the first one I have seen with a yellowish-orange color.

Everything Is Blurred Except the Orb

Photo date: June 24, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

Before showing the main subject of this post, let me show (from June 24) a typical orb like the one I often photograph in Grand Central Station.

bright orb
Now in the photo below we will see another orb. But there is something very unusual about this photo. The photo was taken while I was accidentally moving the camera. As a result, everything in the photo is blurred, except for one thing: the orb shown at the top of the photo.

This is very astonishing. Based on everything we know about photography, the orb in the top center of the photo should also have a blurred, streaky appearance. But it does not.

This photo almost suggests the hypothesis that orbs appearing in photos may be somehow items that are added to a photo by some paranormal power, after the photons have entered the camera. Of course, such an idea is pure speculation.

Here from April 26, 2015 is another photo showing the same thing. We see a photo of the Chrysler Building in New York. Because I accidentally moved the camera, everything is streaked -- except for the orb at the top of the photo, which shows no sign of any such streaking.  How could such an effect naturally occur?

UFO Formation?

Photo date: June 22, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken in New York City, and shows the night sky above a tree. The bright object on the bottom is the moon, which was close to a half moon on this day. Above the moon we see a mysterious line of four orbs.  Could they be UFOs flying in formation, like some jet fighters flying in formation?

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night.

"Sawed" Orb Reappears at Previous Hangout

Photo date: June 24, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

In a previous post I noted that on January 2, 2015 three of my photos showed a distinctive looking orb (with a "sawed" appearance) appearing in one particular corner of Grand Central Station in New York. On June 24 I saw a similar-looking orb appear in the same corner of Grand Central Station. This orb had the same "sawed" appearance, looking like a circle that had one edge (the bottom left edge) sawed off.

Here from February 5, 2015 is a photo showing an orb looking like the orb shown above (with the same "sawed" appearance), and in almost the same position.

Orange Air Orb With Blue Air Orb

Photo date: December 3, 2014

In this indoor photo of a featureless wall, we two orbs with colors: one orange and one blue. The orange orb shows signs of motion blur.

Dust level: 175/2 (Fair). No reflective surfaces nearby. No orbs were seen in photos taken soon before and after this photo, which argues against the possibility of dust. No flying insects observed at photo site.

Amazing Alignments

Photo date: May 12, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken looking up at the Empire State Building in New York. We see three orbs in a line.

orb line
On June 19, 2015 I saw the alignment of orbs shown below, also while photographing the top of the Empire State Building. Here they have formed into a right angle shape. orb right angle
A photo from June 5, 2015 shows something similar, although this time the right angle is built from 5 different orbs rather than just 4.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation while I was photographing any of these photos.

Speeding Enigma in Vivid Yellow

Photo date: June 23, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

In the photo below (which is a simple crop of a larger photo, without any color or tint adjustment), we see a yellow-colored orb that seems to be in motion.

Below is a closeup, which shows the "comet tail" we so often see in orbs.  This was not the moon, which was a crescent moon on this night.

orb tail
There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation while I was photographing this night (there had been a summer shower a few hours earlier). The air quality was "moderate," and the pollen count (as listed on pollen.com) was low to medium (with a level of 3.5).

Patriotically Perched

Photo date: June 19, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

In the photo below, we see a mysterious orb that is positioned just exactly on the top of the US flag.

orb near flag
Of course, a skeptic might say this position is just a coincidence, but such "coincidences" keep occurring again and again and again, as you can see by looking at my 70 posts labeled "orb selective positioning." Here is another example of such a "coincidence" from June 14, 2015.
