I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. We see orbs with diagonal stripes. The area above the diagonal stripes is a lot rougher-looking than the area below it.

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. We see orbs with rather elliptical holes in their top right areas. Such a pattern persisted through most of 1000+ consecutive photos, with thousands of such holes appearing.
