Once Again, a Pattern Fade-Out

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background.  We see a pattern looking rather like an animal head. There is also a hill-like feature above this shape. The pattern slowly disappears in another case of a pattern fade-out effect that I have only noticed in the past several days.
