Odd Things Behind the Semi-Oval Holes

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background.  We see orbs with semi-oval holes, a pattern that persisted through moost of 400+ consecutive photos. Behind such orbs are veil-like structures. 

From Oval Holes to Semi-Oval Holes

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background.  On this day I first got (in almost all of hundreds of consecutive photos) orbs with oval holes, as shown below.

Then the oval hole pattern turned gradually into a pattern of semi-oval holes, as shown below (the pattern persisting through hundreds of additional photos).

A Circle and Half-Oval Pattern

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. On this day I got (in most of 100+ consecutive photos) a pattern consisting of a small circle on the top left of orbs, and a half-oval shape on the bottom right of orbs. Below are some examples.
