You Can Remember Something in a Dream You Could Not Remember When Awake

Today I had a dream in which one of my daughters gave me a phone, telling me on the line was one of the female stars of "Little House on the Prarie," a popular NBC TV series which ran from 1974 to 1983. In the dream I spoke to the person, who said she was now very far away (I think in China).  When I woke up I remembered that in the dream the person had a name of "Mary Anderson" (as best I could remember), and seemed to match the older daughter in the "Little House on the Prarie" TV show. I tried to remember the names of the two actresses who played the daughters in that series, but I could remember only one: Melissa Gilbert. I could not remember any part of the name of the actress playing the older daughter, and did not know whether my dream had got any part of the name right. Later I checked the internet and found that the actress who played the older daughter was Melissa Sue Anderson. In my dream I had correctly recalled her last name, which I could not recall while awake.

Postscript: On March 27 I dreamed that Dwight Eisenhower (President of the United States between 1952 and 1960) was saying that people from Texas could be good US presidents.  I certainly did not recall at the time that Eisenhower was born in Texas, a fact I can never recall learning before having this dream.  When I looked up Eisenhower's birthplace, I actually expected to find that it was in Kansas.

Kitchen Anomaly

We see below a bright orb that appeared on the right edge of a photo I took. I almost never get orbs on the edge of a photo.  I have only one other photo tagged as "orb on edge of photo."

A Blue Orb's Alignment

Below we see a mysterious blue orb that I photographed indoors. See here for 1485 other photos I have taken of mysterious blue orbs, and see here for 300+ photos I have taken of orbs aligning with lines (usually architectural or structural lines).

Spooky Signs?

Today I was thinking of my deceased father. Within the next ten minutes I noticed three odd things:

(1) I noticed a dime plainly visible in the middle of a spot I had been lying. The dime could have conceivably come out from the bottom of a pocket (with no holes) in my tight-fitting jeans. But I had last bought something 20 hours ago, and had lied down several times since then without noticing such a coin. I have had numerous strange experiences with coins, such as seeing a coin rolling up from behind me, on its edge, when I was alone in my apartment (and had just finished double-checking that there were no loose coins anywhere in my apartment).

(2) While taking a shower in my 7th-floor apartment, I noticed that after the shower sprayed water full-blast for several seconds, it suddenly stopped for just a second, and then restarted spraying water just like before. I had not touched anything to cause this effect.

(3) I noticed a curly hair  about 10 inches long, which was hung over a bath pole suspended horizontally 78 inches above the ground.  The hair (looking curlier than any of my head) was longer than any on my head, and my wife's hair is not curly. The height of the horizontal pole was 8 inches taller than my height, and even more inches taller than my wife's height. I am baffled by how a hair could have got up so high. And how unlikely is it that a floating hair would land so that it was hanging over a horizontal pole, with half of the hair on one side of the pole, and the other half of the hair on the other side?  When I dropped the hair on a white surface, I got a curved line that looked like the profile of a human face (although the effect did not recur on the second try).

I have had quite a few similar strange incidents involving hairs, as described here.  I will sometimes notice in my hand a hair much longer than any on my head, as if such a thing had materialized out of thin air.  This will sometimes occur when I am thinking of some deceased person.  In a previous post I noted this:

"As of February 4, 2020, I have seen a total of 24 cases in which I suddenly noticed a very long detached hair on my body, typically in my hand or on my arm.  The average length of such hairs has been about 14 inches, much longer than my own hair (which does not get longer than  about 6 inches). In all of these cases I was in my apartment and either at least 20 feet away from any other person or in a room by myself with the door closed."

An interesting speculative hypothesis is that it is somehow possible for beings in some afterlife realm to transport objects to our earthly realm, but that the difficulty of such a task is proportional to the mass of the object transported. If such a hypothesis were true, we might expect occasional materializations of very low-mass objects such as hairs and coins (particularly the lighter coins such as dimes and pennies), but it might be very rare for there to occur materializations of much heavier objects. In 2018 I reported this about coins I was surprised to find (mostly in spots I had observed just beforehand without seeing any coin there):

"Since 2014 the breakdown of the number of anomalous-seeming coins I have sighted is as follows: 121 pennies, only two nickels, 20 quarters, and 62 dimes, for a total of 205 coins. We can compare such numbers to the 2016 US production of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. The US production numbers are as follows:"

Although not at all what we would expect from random coins given the coin production figures above, the 2018 totals I give above are consistent with the speculative hypothesis mentioned above, because nickels and quarters (each weighing roughly 5 grams) each weigh roughly twice as much as cents (i.e. pennies) and dimes (which each weigh roughly 2.5 grams).
