I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. We first see orbs with a large indentation on their right side, and then see orbs with indentations on both the left and right edges.

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. We see a pattern consisting of a large hole and a much smaller hole below it. Such a pattern persisted through most of 400 consecutive photos.

On this day (among other patterns) I got a strange "arch and hole" pattern that lasted through most of 500+ consecutive photos. The arch shape can be faintly seen to the left of the large hole in each orb.
