I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. We see a two-part pattern consisting of a smaller hole on the top right and a larger hole in the bottom center. Such a pattern persisted through almost all of almost 1000 consecutive photos.
