Did This Orb Change Color As It Sped?

The previously unpublished photo below was taken while photographing nothing but ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background. At the bottom of this water drop, we see what could be a group of orbs with different colors. Or perhaps the camera captured multiple position states of a single orb that is changing color as it speeds. The orange-green color of one of the orbs is remarkable.

Spinners and "Smilers" in a Water Drop

The photo shows a drop of pure, clean water. We seem to see several orb faces, as well as some orbs that are spinning around within the water drop at a very rapid speed. It's another example of the orb centrifuge effect shown in 68 posts on this blog. One of the orbs has a remarkable orange-green color.

An Insanely Colorful Orb

The photo below was taken while photographing pure, clean water drops falling against a black background.

This is perhaps the most colorful orb I have ever photographed. If you look closely, you can seem to see a face (with two eyes and a smile).

Colors such as these in a water drop are inexplicable. Diffraction can sometimes make color stripes, but it makes weak colors (like the pale colors of a sky rainbow), usually around the edges of a circular object. If you do a Google search for "water drop with stripes," the only relevant images you will find are one or two showing a water drop photographed against a striped background, something that is not comparable to this image taken against a black background.

Water Drop Faces Transform Into Crescents

So here it is, folks -- what I can safely assume is a photo unlike any you have seen before in your life, even if you are a regular reader of this blog.

The very top of this authentic, unaltered photo of a pure, clean water drip looks like the top of one of the photos of "orb faces in water drops" that I often present on this blog. But then we see something incredibly strange happening. It looks like the orbs are starting to morph into crescents.  By the time I finish looking at the photo, I feel like writing a science fiction story entitled The Planet of Twenty Crescent Moons.

Around the middle of this photo, we see what looks like water drop faces that have disappeared except for the smile at the bottom of the face.  I am reminded of the Lewis Carroll feline fictional character (the Cheshire cat) who disappeared except for his smile.
