Strange "Sawed" Orbs

Since buying a Sony a5000 camera (one I am quite happy with), I notice that a small fraction (less than 5%) of the mysterious orbs I photograph have a kind of "sawed" appearance, as if someone had sawed off one edge of the orb. Below are three photos showing orbs with such an appearance, one of which has an unusual cyan color.

The photos below show four unusual orbs I photographed, three of which appeared in the night sky.  The one on the top-left has a kind of golden-brown look resembling a pancake.

Steeple Strangeness

Stairway to Heaven?

In the photo below we see a line of orbs that creates a kind of "stairway to heaven" effect, as the line rather resembles the side of a stairway.

Vivid Splendor of a Floating Cyan Orb

The unmodified photo below was taken in Grand Central Terminal in New York.  Floating above the US flag, we see a mysterious orb in a vivid bright cyan color. If you think this is a speck of dust, just ask yourself: have you ever in your life seen a speck of dust with such a color?

A Strange Speckled Sky

The photo below was taken on Fifth Avenue in New York. We see quite a few orbs in the sky, but none in front of the buildings (a good clue that we are not seeing dust in the air, which would be evenly distributed in the photo area).

Sky Orbs Form a 7 Above the Steeple

The photo below shows a church on Madison Avenue in New York. Near it, we see a bunch of mysterious orbs in several different colors, including cyan, purple, and white. Some of the orbs seem to have formed the number 7 in the sky.

The Cyan Orb and the Ghostly Weirdness

The photo below was taken in Grand Central Terminal in New York City. We see a rare cyan-colored orb on the stairway. Right-click to see the photo at its full resolution.

One form of "ghostly weirdness" in this photo is that the head of the figure at the bottom left seems to be blocked by some misty snake-like cloud that is floating about.  Another eerie thing can be seen by looking at a closeup of the orb. To the right of the orb, we can seem to see some strange ghostly-looking face, one that is grinning.
