Since buying a Sony a5000 camera (one I am quite happy with), I notice that a small fraction (less than 5%) of the mysterious orbs I photograph have a kind of "sawed" appearance, as if someone had sawed off one edge of the orb. Below are three photos showing orbs with such an appearance, one of which has an unusual cyan color.
