Orange Orb is a Sky Stumper

The photo below shows the Empire State Building in New York City. Above the tower top we see a mysterious orange orb that did not appear in any other photo I took of this tower top.  There was a full moon this night, but when this photo was taken (9:42 PM) the moon was in the eastern sky, in a completely opposite direction (this photo was taken near the corner of Fifth Avenue and 34th street, pointing towards the west).

I used to hardly ever get orange orbs in my photographs, but now I seem to get them in increasing numbers. In this photo we see two orange orbs floating near the Empire State Building in New York.

The photo below shows the Empire State Building in New York City. We see a swarm of orbs around it, including a green orb, a blue orb, and an orange orb.

Below is a closeup showing a blue orb and a green orb. Do we see a face or two here?

The photo at top was taken at 9:18, and also at 9:18 I took the photo below, of a piece of cardboard at arm's length. As in all of the 27 times I have tried it, this test showed no orbs in front of the cardboard, indicating that what I was photographing was not any particles (such as dust) very near the camera.

Sky Orbs Check Out the Empire State Building

In the photo below we see some orbs floating near the top of the Empire State Building in New York City.  One of the orbs is big and blue.  Is this one the leader of the "inspection team"?

Green Orb Hangs Out at a Famous Spot

In the photo below we see some orbs floating near the top of the Empire State Building in New York City. One of the orbs is yellow, and a larger orb is green.  Dust? I think not. Whoever heard of green dust?

Orbs of Light Surround the Empire State Building

The photo below was taken on 9:13 PM, and shows the Empire State Building in New York.  We see a swarm of mysterious orbs, which have a variety of colors, including orange, purple, blue, and green. Right-click to see the photo at its full resolution.

Below is a closeup of the orange orb. It has a feature that looks a bit like some strange face, but it is too hard to see the details.

The next photo, also taken at 9:13, also showed various colorful orbs.

The next photo, also taken at 9:13, was a "cardboard test." As I so often do when I am photographing many orbs, I took out a piece of cardboard and photographed it at arm's length, to see whether I would see any sign of particles in front of the cardboard. No such orbs appeared in front of the cardboard. This test has never shown any orbs during any of the many times I have tried it, which is a strong indication that the orbs I was not photographing were not dust or any other particles near the camera.

An "Arch" of Mysterious Sky Orbs

This photo was taken pointing up at the Empire State Building in New York. We see a bunch of orbs that seem to be forming a kind of arch shape. Almost all of these orbs appear in the sky (rather in front of the buildings), which is a very strong indication that we are not merely seeing particles near the camera (which would be scattered randomly around the picture area).

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night.  The air quality was moderate, with a level of 60, almost good enough to qualify as "good."  The pollen count listed on www.pollen.com was good, with a very low level of only 0.5. 

Haunting the Skyline

In the photo below, we see the Chrysler Building in New York, as viewed from across the East River. Above the building, we see two mysterious orbs. Neither one was the moon.

On the same night I photographed this orb near the Empire State Building. The orb has orange tinges on its outer circumference.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality was moderate with a rating of 60. The photo was taken from the end of a long pier jutting way out into the East River, a place where the nearby air was very clean.

Double Dose of Doom? No, Just Orb Tails

The photo below looks like some scene from a disaster movie on the SciFi channel, because it shows what looks like 2 comets plunging downward, about to crash into the top of the Empire State Building. But what we see are just what I call "orb comet tails," trailing motion blurs behind mysterious orbs that are moving very fast.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night, so we do not see here falling raindrops.  The air quality was moderate, with a level of 60, almost good enough to qualify as "good."  The pollen count listed on www.pollen.com was good, with a very low level of only 0.5.

The Strangest Swarm

Below is a photo taken of the Empire State Building in New York City at 9:45 PM. What are these strange things swarming the tower?

During the same minute (9:45 PM), I tried photographing a piece of cardboard at arm's length, to see whether any of these orbs could be caused by natural particles floating very close to the camera. As always, this cardboard test showed no orbs, indicating that the orbs were not at all caused by dust or other particles near the camera.

Empire State Enigma

The photo below shows the Empire State Building in New York City. We see a big bright white orb that seems to be floating near the top of the building.  This was not the moon, which was only a half-moon on this night.  The object wasn't visible in several photos taken from the same angle.

Amazing Alignments

The photo below was taken looking up at the Empire State Building in New York. We see three orbs in a line.

On June 19, 2015 I saw the alignment of orbs shown below, also while photographing the top of the Empire State Building. Here they have formed into a right angle shape.

A photo from June 5, 2015 shows something similar, although this time the right angle is built from 5 different orbs rather than just 4.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation while I was photographing any of these photos.

Perplexing Peachy Pair, With Auras

The photo below shows the top of the Empire State Building in New York. Floating near its spire, we see two mysterious peach-colored orbs.

A closeup of the orb at left shows that it seems to have an orange aura.

3 Types of Sky Weirdness, Including a Cross-like Shape

The photo below shows two strange anomalies near the top of the Empire State Building in New York.  One is the white orb, which seems to be moving very fast. Another is a strange purple line stretching across part of the sky.

Another strange thing I observed on this night was a faint shape in the sky that almost seemed like a cross shape. It was noticeable with the naked eye. The photo below shows it, although it doesn't capture it very well.

The photo below shows an orb speeding past this cross-like anomaly.

Hanging Out Above the Famous Spires

Orbs Align With a Famous Spire

We see below a composite photo showing two photos taken at 9:19 PM. They both show an orb over the spire of the Empire State Building.

This was not the moon, as I took several photos at this time using the same angle, and some of them show nothing above the spire. A closeup of the second orb shows a "comet tail" which indicates an object moving very fast.

Pink Orb Near the Spire
