Mysterious Orb Crescents Intersected by Equally Mysterious Lines

The photo below was taken while photographing ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background.  We see the strange objects I call orb crescents -- lots of them. I have published 41 previous photos of these hard-to-explain things. But this photo has something else I have never seen before. There are two sets of parallel lines intersecting the column of orb crescents. What are those lines? They did not appear in the previous photo or the next photo.

The photo below was taken in New York City. We see orbs that seemed to have formed two mysterious lines in the sky, both stretching straight upward.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was good, with a rating of 46.  The pollen count listed on pollen.com was low to medium, with a rating of 4.6.
