Alignment of the Balls

The unaltered photo below was taken in Grand Central Station in New York. We see a blue orb aligned with the physical orb of the station's main information desk. The blue orb is in front of an anomalous-looking figure, and there seems to be an equally anomalous-looking figure behind the glass.
