In the photo below, we see a mysterious purple orb resting right on top of the "MetLife" sign on top of the 59-story MetLife building in New York.
The photo below (taken on the same day) shows a similar-looking purple orb above the Bank of America building in New York.
The moon on this night was a very thin crescent. There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The air quality as listed on airnow.gov was "moderate," with a numerical rating almost good enough to qualify as "good."
