Photo date: June 7, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
Below is a series of photos taken of East 43rd Street in New York City, facing west. Here is the first photo taken at 8:53 PM, which shows several mysterious orbs.
Here is the second photo, also taken at 8:53 PM. In this one we see a bright orb (dust particles don't look this bright when they are photographed).
During the same minute (8:53 PM) I did a test to see whether any orbs would show up in front of a paper photographed at arm's length. No such orbs appeared.
Another photo taken during the same minute (8:53 PM) also showed lots of orbs on the left.
Again (at 8:54 PM) I tried the "cardboard test" (using a cardboard-colored piece of paper). No orbs appeared (suggesting that the orbs I was getting were not dust particles near the camera).
Then I took the photo below, which showed additional orbs.
An additional arm's length "cardboard test" at 8:59 showed no orbs.
But one minute later I got the photo below, which shows three "comet tail" orbs that seem to be moving very fast.
Below is a closeup of the two orbs that seem to be hurtling past the spire of the Bank of America tower.
There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality as listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 29 (anything below 50 is considered good).
It is amusing to read the page of an "orbs are dust" theorist who lazily assures us that all "comet tail" orbs like the ones above are falling raindrops. Even the most casual Google image search using terms such as "moving orb" will show an abundance of indoor photos showing orb "comet tails" like the ones above.
