The photo below shows the Chrysler Building in New York City.
Below is a closeup of the brightest orb shown in this photo. This orb (which seems to have an aura) is perfectly aligned with the spire of the building. This was not the moon, as it did not appear in other photos from the same angle at the same time.
The top photo was taken at 9:06 PM. During the same minute I tried what I call a cardboard test, which involves photographing a piece of cardboard (or a similar-colored piece of paper) at arm's length, to see whether any orbs appear. The photo is shown below. It shows no orbs, which indicates that the orbs photographed at top are not at all particles near the camera (such as dust).
I've tried this cardboard test many times during times when I was getting lots of orbs in my photos, and I have never seen a single orb while doing such a test.
There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality (as listed as airnow.gov) was "good," with a rating of 29 (anything below 50 is considered good).
