The photo below shows a purplish-pink orb that appeared next to a row of lights on a building. The orb was ten percent of the original photo's height. A dust particle would need to have a size of about 1500 microns to appear this large in a photo, but outdoor dust particles are only about 1 micron in size.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night.
