"Yellow-Bellied" Sky Orbs

The photo below shows two similar-sized objects which both have a glow. Which one was the moon?
The moon is at the bottom. The object at right is a mysterious orb. Below is a closeup that shows a strange kind of "yellow belly."
The orb resembles another sky I photographed two days earlier, which also had a yellow side and an orange aura.
