I took the photo below while photographing nothing but ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background. We see three orbs that have the same strange feature set: a flat edge and a small hole above a big hole.
This is another example of what I repeatedly get when photographing water drops: multiple orbs in the same picture, all with the same strange improbable feature, with a degree of repetition of that unusual feature that we would never expect to happen by chance in a thousand years. See here for some very astonishing examples.

Varieties of Orb Holes
The two photos on the left show mysterious orbs that I photographed in the air on November 27, 2017 and November 22, 2017. I took the photo on the right while photographing ordinary drops of pure water falling against a dark, featureless background. Despite the completely different photographic methods, all three photos have produced strange orbs with odd little holes inside them.

The sizes of the holes in orb rings varies from small to large. In the example below that I took on November 8, 2017 (also while photographing nothing but ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background), we see smaller holes in the orb rings.

This is the first time I have got the letter "Y" inside a mysterious orb, although I have 8 previous times got an upside-down "Y" inside a mysterious orb I photographed, as shown here.
Postscript: The next day another "Y" appeared in a mysterious orb I photographed, but the orb was on the upper edge of the photo, and so the photo only shows part of the orb.

At Grand Central Terminal I have hundreds of times photographed mysterious orbs exactly aligning with lines in the station, such as structural lines or the edge of the US flag. Below are two additional examples. The blue orb is exactly aligning with the bottom of the blue part of the flag. The other orb is exactly aligning with a ledge-like surface which I have repeatedly photographed orbs exactly aligning to (as shown here).

Are what we seeing holes in the orbs, or just dark marks? A closeup of part of the photo above clearly shows holes we can look right through.
The same thing is shown in the photo below from the same day. Notice how we see here two holes in the orbs, one large hole at the top, and one small hole at the bottom.
The appearance of these orb rings on this day was astonishing. I repeated the same photographic setup on several subsequent days, with the same camera and the same procedure. No such rings appeared.
