In the two photos below (taken on a night when the moon was a thin crescent) we see a green orb in the sky and some brighter orbs above an apartment building in New York City.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good" with a level of 45. The pollen count listed on pollen.com was "low," with a rating of 1.4.
