A Big Pink Orb

Not much movement here, just a great big pink orb photographed indoors. I used the IrfanView "Auto-adjust colors" menu command to bring out the color a bit.
Nearby reflective surfaces: none. No orbs shown in photos taken at same location from same angle soon before and soon after this photo was taken, which argues against any dust explanation.

Orbs Seem to Look Rightward

In this water drop photo, we seem to see at least two orbs that are looking to the right. What is it that could have interested them?

A Fast Moving Air Orb

In this indoor photo of a wall, we see what photographers call
a "ghosting" effect that is a sign of rapid movement. Given my camera's shutter speed of 1/2000 of a second, an effect like this would never be produced by something like the movement of an insect. The orb was apparently moving much faster than any insect does. No insect was seen at this location during the previous 60 days.

Dust level: 190/0 (Fair). Reflective objects nearby: none. The orb was about 10% of the height of the full picture. No orbs shown in photos taken at same location from same angle soon before and soon after this photo was taken, which argues against any dust explanation.

Speeding Blue Orb in Grand Central Station

In this photo we see a blue orb that appears to be moving very fast. Here is the larger photo:
Here is a closeup cropped from the above photo. Note the "triple displacement" effect, an effect which photographers call ghosting. It is caused when the speed of an object exceeds the shutter speed of a camera. Since the camera had a very fast effective shutter speed of about 1/1000 of a second, this orb was probably moving very fast, much faster than any insect would move.
Contrary to assertions of skeptics, this type of effect is not a very rare effect, but instead a very common effect when photographing orbs.
