I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. On this day I got a huge number of the strange wispy objects I call orb veils. Below are some of them. Notice how some of the photos show a stacking effect in which we see little stacks of veil-like objects, with each item in the stack having the same shape.
