I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. We see a two-part pattern consisting of a semi-oval at the bottom middle, and a circular feature at the top right. Such a pattern persisted through almost all of 100+ consecutive photos.
