The 5000+ Orb Indentations, Part 1

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. On this day I got 5000+ orbs with indentations.  Such orbs appeared in almost all of thousands of consecutive photos. There were a few different phases of such indentations. In the first phase, there was a streak of 1000+ photos that almost all had multiple orbs with a single indentation at the top center. Below are some examples. 

A few seconds ago I heard this comment by some astronomer scanning radio waves from distant stars, looking for life in space: "The first thing we'll do is look for some repeating pattern." How come such people are so blind to such dramatically repeating patterns as those shown here and here and here?
