Fade-out of the "Laptop" Pattern

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background.  We see orbs with a hole shape thar resembles the shape of an open laptop computer.  After appearing many times, the pattern slowly fades out, as we see another example of a gradual pattern fade-out effect I have recently got quite a few times (as shown here).
