Last night I had a strange dream. I was saying to someone, "Study the fundamental constants, like Planck's constant and the gravitational constant."
The fundamental constants of nature are a group of about 10 numbers in physics that help to determine the physical nature of the universe, and whether the universe is habitable. Scientists have concluded that the fundamental constants of our universe are very fine-tuned, in the sense that we could not exist or would not have existed if such numbers were very much different from what they are. The issue is discussed in my posts here and here.
It's not so rare for this topic to pop up in my dreams, which sometimes deal with subtle philosophical issues, as I discuss here. But there was a striking coincidence involved in the two mentions of the fundamental constants that occurred in the dream: they both have a numerical value beginning with 6.6.
A Google search for "value of Planck's constant" gives us a number beginning with 6.6. A Google search for "value of gravitational constant" gives us a number beginning with 6.6. We have a coincidence that the numbers both begin with 6.6.
Now, consider this number of about 6.6 within the context of the month of November. Such a number corresponds to about 2:24 PM on Friday, November 7. At that point there will have passed 6.6 days of the month of November.
Could it be my dream was trying to symbolically suggest something big will happen around that time? Just after coming up with this speculative interpretation of the dream, while walking outside, I saw on my walk a great gathering of black birds near me. One of my photos of them is below, and shows about twenty black birds (the total number was maybe 30). An omen of something ominous to come tomorrow?
Alternate speculative interpretations include the idea that the 6.6 refers to 6.6 days from today or 6.6 weeks from today or 6.6 months from today, and so on.
Postscript: As of 5:00 PM on today (Friday, November 7) nothing big has happened -- even though one of my dreams this morning seemed to suggest that something big might happen today at the exact hour I mentioned. I get a strange "false alarm" effect a few times a year in which a series of dreams seems to suggest that I will die (or may well die) at some particular day (on in some particular month) rather soon in the future. Each of the times no such thing has happened. By now I have learned to not take such seeming forewarnings very seriously.
I can imagine various ideas to explain this type of "false alarm" thing. Conceivably once I get in my mind the suspicion that I may die on some particular day, or some day close to that day, that may somehow tend to create dreams tending to reinforce such an idea.
Post-postscript: I don't know whether it is of any significance, but I had an interesting dream today (on November 9) about Trump. In the dream Trump was spinning in his hand a basketball-sized sphere, as a basketball player might do. The sphere was a globe looking like the earth, and it seemed to spin about five times. This seemed to symbolize about five days, as our planet rotates five times in five days. Could this symbolize something big regarding Trump, occurring around November 14th? We will see.
