Band-Baffled

Today I saw yet another case of a rubber band anomaly I have now seen more than 29 times. When the anomaly occurs I will suddenly see on the floor a rubber band, in some very noticeable position, with its appearance at such a spot being mysterious and unexplained (with me having no memory of having recently touched a rubber band). My strict policy is to always pick up small items from the floor as soon as I see them (items such as coins, rubber bands or pens); so finding unexpected rubber bands on the floor of a room where no one else was is baffling. 

Today at 10:05 PM I saw the unexpected rubber band between my TV stand and my refrigerator:

Now, as it happens I took a picture including this area only 19 minutes earlier, at 9:46 PM. Below is a cropped part of that picture, showing the same area as we see above, but no such rubber band:

How did the rubber band get on the floor? No one in the room touched any rubber bands between around 9:46 and 10:05.

Postscript:  As of March 14, 2026 I have now seen this rubber band anomaly more than 30 times I saw it again on the morning of March 14, 2026.  I woke up on that day and quickly noticed a rubber band on the floor, in from on m TV set. A photo of the same area I had taken just before going to bed showed no such rubber band.
