Orbs with Four Holes

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background.  We see orbs that all had four holes.

This effect of having multiple orbs with four holes persisted for hundreds of consecutive photos, with thousands of four-hole orbs appearing in such a series.
