Scientists Spooked by Speeding Sphere

"Mysterious ball of light leaves scientists puzzled. A mysterious glowing ball of light traveling 1/100th the speed of light has been spotted and videotaped in the earth's upper atmosphere, but what is it has scientists puzzled. Brief footage of the image, which appeared for about 3/100th of a second at an estimated height of 80 kilometers, was presented publicly for the first time Monday at the fall meeting of the American Geophysical Union. In a six-frame sequence, the object can clearly be seen crossing upwards and left across the field of view, while retaining its shape and intense glow. 'It's the first and only event of this kind photographed to my knowledge,' said Dr. Dean A. Morss, assistant professor of Atmospheric Sciences at Creighton University in Nebraska."

The reported speed is about  1862 miles per second, or about 3000 kilometers per second. By comparison, meteors travel in the atmosphere no more than about 72 kilometers per second. 

Did His Soul Become a Mysterious Orb?

 The account below is one of the most spectacular orb reports ever. We read of a man (Stuart Blue Harary, with a preferred name of Blue Harary)  who had an out-of-body experience in which he reports his soul visiting friends. Harary claims that two of his friends reported seeing a ball of light at the same time as these "soul visits" occurred.

The account in the image above is imperfect from an evidence standpoint, as it lacks the names of the corroborating witnesses. If you ever witness what you think is the paranormal, try to get the names of any corroborating witnesses, and ideally try and publish their names. If the witnesses do not want to have their names published, you can state in your report that you have the name of a corroborating witness, and can supply it upon request to a serious researcher such as an author, journalist. scientist or long-time scholar of related topics.

Orbs Cavort With Ghost?

On the page here, we read this:

"Fort Ontario has acquired a number of ghost stories. There is a nameless ghost in blue who wanders around the parade ground, and a luminous ball of light that is said to be seen near the guard posts at late night."

Spooky Hops

 A few minutes ago I was walking by my not-yet-turned-on TV, walking about 18 inches away from it, when I heard a strange barely audible noise, sounding like something very small dropping very near. I looked two feet to my left to investigate. I saw on the floor a closed safety pin that had been on the ledge of my TV stand. It was now about 18 inches (about half a meter) away from the TV stand it had been on. I picked up the pin, and dropped it, to see if it made a sound just like the sound I had just heard. It did. The pin seems to have made an inexplicable hop of about half a meter.  

I might read symbolism into this event by considering the word "safety" in the term "safety pin."  Perhaps we have here some strange symbolism involving safety or security. 

Postscript: At the end of this day I saw a three-inch-wide air freshener on top of my toilet mysteriously fall off the toilet top, plunging to the left. The air freshener had been entirely on top of the toilet top, without any part of it dangling on the edge. 

Post-postscript: I stick to an old habit of wearing earplugs while I sleep. Last night I dreamed I lost one of my earplugs. I then awoke in real life to find only one earplug in my ears, with the one other one clutched by the right two fingers of my right hand. I put the earplug back in my ear, so that both of my ears were plugged. Later I awoke to again find one of my earplugs out of my ears, with the earplug now being clutched by the left two fingers of my left hand. I have no memory of removing either ear plug on this night. If this is some poltergeist activity, we might call it poltergeist precision. 

Post-post-postscript: On July 18, 2024 there was what seemed to be an even spookier hop of the same safety pin. After playing a video game on the couch for more than 30 minutes, I looked to my right and saw next to me a few inches away the safety pin, which had previously been about two meters away, on the ledge of my TV stand. I have no idea of how it got to a position right next to me. 

On July 20 this type of thing seemed to have a little "Other Side" symbolism. Just as I passed over to the other side of a doorway,  a meter away from my bathroom doorway, an object mysteriously fell off the top of a toilet.  Something similar happened the next day, and again on July 29. 

Post-post-post-postscript: On November 7, 2024 I again saw  saw a three-inch-wide air freshener on top of my toilet mysteriously fall off the toilet top, plunging to the left. The air freshener had been entirely on top of the toilet top, without any part of it dangling on the edge.  I was motionless at the time, standing in front of the toilet. 

Confounding Cup

This morning at lunch (less than an hour ago) I observed something extremely strange. I heated up water to make coffee, using an electric pot on the left of my sink. To the best of my recollection, I poured water from the pot into a cup with some instant coffee crystals, as I always do when making coffee. Returning to a table, I started to drink the coffee, but found the coffee was cold. I asked myself: could I have failed to heat the pot? I went back to the pot, and found its water was hot and the pot turned off. So how could the coffee have get cold so quickly? 

It is interesting that sightings of ghosts sometimes occur in connection with mysterious drops in temperature. I wonder whether some ghost or spirit involvement is a conceivable explanation here.  But I observed nothing unusual other than the cup having the wrong temperature. The event reminds me of what I reported three months earlier:

"Today (April 7) I also saw something very weird. I ran my microwave oven for two minutes to heat up some pizza. It made a normal 'microwave running' sound during this time. When I opened it up, I found the plate and the pizza were cold, just as if no heating had occurred. On the second try, the plate and pizza heated up as expected."

The microwave mentioned above has worked normally for the past three months, being used almost every day. The microwave oven works in a simple fashion, requiring that the user only select a time length of heating, not a heating temperature.
