I noticed that my post "12 Possible Ways the Deceased Might Signal or Communicate With the Living" has recently got heavy readership. Examining the post (which you can read here), I realized I had failed to describe one way such signaling or communication might occur. So I updated the title to "13 Possible Ways..." and added this paragraph as item 13:
"13. Dreams Symbolizing the Idea of Life After Death
Since I started recording my dreams in 2021, I have had more than 500 dreams that seemed to symbolize life after death. A full numbered list of these dreams (including a description of each of them) is found in my long post 'I Keep Dreaming of Danger, Death and Life After Death,' which you can read here. What is the source of such dreams? A reasonable guess is that they come telepathically from one or more deceased persons. Imagine you had died, and found yourself in an afterlife, where you had a weak power to telepathically communicate with your family members still living on Earth, with the communication occurring best during dreams. You might use that power to cause such persons to have dreams that seemed to symbolize life after death. That would be a way that you could provide hints of the good news that the soul survives death."
Besides 170+ dreams in which my late father appeared, and 150+ dreams in which my late mother appeared, I have had very many dreams that seemed to be kind of subtle symbolic suggestions from one or more of my deceased relatives.
A recent dream I had seemed to vividly suggest the idea of life after death. In the dream I walked up to the second floor of the house I live in, and someone announced that my deceased eldest sister was here, with a tone of voice suggesting that this was something spooky or supernatural. In the dream I saw my deceased sister on the other side of a living room, standing in a corner of the room; and. I walked up to her and hugged her. In the dream I seemed to have an understanding that she had previously died, and in the dream I was thinking thoughts such as "It's so amazing that you were able to visit us."
