Return of the Weird "Orb Claws"

Photo date: October 17, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

As you can tell by looking at the labels section of this blog, I have many types of classifications I use for categorizing photographic anomalies, such as striped orbs, speeding orbs, orb faces, orb veils, orb crescents, orb rings, and so forth. But occasionally I will photograph some weirdness that is hard to put in any of these categories.

The photos below were are all taken while ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark background.

I cannot classify the weirdness in the first and third photo. But the second photo shows something that I once saw before: a claw-like feature in an orb.
