In His Out-of-Body Experience, He Seemed to Be an Orb

 The account below is taken from a newspaper archive that allows me to conveniently copy images, but does not allow me to copy text. So I'll just include some screen shots that tell the story. We hear an account of what seemed like an out-of-body experience and near-death experience occurring while H. L. Bertrand was mountain climbing.

The "elastic string" reported has been reported in many out-of-body experiences, and has sometimes been called a "silver cord." It is said that the breaking of such a cord means there's no going back. What is interesting in this account is not just the out-of-body experience, but the person's description of himself as being like a balloon.
