An Air Orb Too Big to be Dust

Photo date: October 9, 2014.  Photographer: Mark Mahin.

This  indoor photo of a wall shows an air orb with a height of 294 pixels. This means that the orb occupied 17% of the photo size (the full photo had a height of 1704 pixels). This size is incompatible with the "orb zone" theory which maintains that orbs are merely dust. Those who have advanced such a theory have admitted that according to such a theory, orbs should never be larger than 10% of the size of the picture (and, in fact, the theory actually implies that the maximum size of orbs should be much smaller than that, typically only about 5% or less of the picture size).

Below is a color-adjusted version of the photo, which brings out a maze-like internal structure:

big orb
Near the center is a strange red feature, which looks similar to the red feature inside the orb shown in this post, an orb that has a similar-looking structure.

Dust level: 160/10, Fair. Reflective surfaces nearby: none. 39 days since last observation of flying insect at this location. No orbs shown in photos taken at same location from same angle soon before and soon after this photo was taken, which argues against any dust explanation. No artificial light was involved in the photo area except the camera flash.
