The water drop photo shown below was made by using an empty spice shaker that had been filled up with water, with all but two of the holes at the top taped over. (This was perhaps the 30th or 40th time the spice shaker had been filled with water, so nothing that we are seeing can be a grain of spice.)
We see three different cases of the orb centrifuge effect, whereby orbs seem to speed around rapidly in a circle, like test tubes in a centrifuge, or like riders in a high-speed Ferris wheel. Click to see the photo at its full resolution.
Below is a closeup of the bottom example of the orb centrifuge effect (I have slightly reduced the gamma correction). If you look closely, you can see several faces and smiles.
