The photo below shows a striped orb above a building on Park Avenue in New York. This is my 106th photo of a mysterious striped orb. See here for similar photos. These strange striped orbs often look like this, with a thick stripe stretching from one side of the orb to the other.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 38.
