Was the Blue Orb Attracted to the People?

A Ghostly Event on Halloween?
This morning while I was working on my couch, about 17 feet away from my bathroom, I heard my toilet flush. It was not just some little gurgle that might be caused by a blockage clearing up -- it was a very clear flush.
This event would have been completely unremarkable were it not for the fact that there was no one else in my apartment other than myself. I have no explanation for how this toilet flush could have occurred. The flush handle is the type that requires a strong flick of the wrist, a type that would not flush even if a mouse climbed on top of it. The toilet was a type (shown here) that has no tank and no flapper, so it couldn't have had the type of "flapper" problem that can cause a toilet to flush by itself.
It reminds me of an event that previously happened, on January 6, 2016. I was working on the sofa when suddenly a light turned on, a light on a table about a meter from me. The light was directly plugged into the wall, and is the type of light that can only turn on if you press a switch that makes a very distinct click sound. After turning the light off, and then trying to turn it back on, I then found the bulb had burnt out. It's easy to explain a light turning off when a bulb burns out, but how do you explain a light turning on when the bulb burns out? I have used both parts of the electrical outlet in question without any problem during the entire 9 months since this occurred, so "faulty wiring" will not work as an explanation.
I never find such incidents to be scary; I find them to be delightful. According to one type of "haunting" theory, you will never see anything strange going on in your home until you have some ghost who hangs around for a while in a haunting. But according to a different theory, you may very rarely get inexplicable signs of physical action from some unknown spiritual reality, which may occasionally give us a sign of its presence. The latter type of event would not be something to be feared.
Postscript: There was more Halloween spookiness later in the day. In the evening, at the very moment when I was re-reading the post above, my toilet started flushing again when there was no one in the bathroom. This time it flushed full blast for a full 60 seconds. I searched the Internet for cases of "ghost flushing" or "toilet flushed by itself," and found only cases of such a thing happening with types of toilets other than the type I have (shown here), a toilet without any tank or flapper or float device. There has been no such incident so far today.
Post-postscript: It is now Sept 6, 2017, and in the roughly 10 months since this event there have been no other cases of the toilet flushing by itself. The only two cases happened on Halloween. Eerie!

Skygasm of the Orb Swarm
Photo date: October 26, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below (taken on a dry night) shows a huge swarm of orbs above a building in New York City. My eyes could not notice anything unusual in the air, and there was no unusual smell. A photo taken about 20 seconds later from the same angle showed not a single orb.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a level of 27 (anything below 50 is good). The pollen level listed on pollen.com was low, with a level of 1.1.
An orb in the top right corner of the photo has a thick stripe, although you will only notice it if you click on the photo and view it in a separate browser tab.

Triangles of Weirdness

I took the photo below while photographing nothing but ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark background. We see six wispy triangle shapes, one of which is orange. Very strange how one set seems to be organized into a column, and the other seems to be organized into a row.

The 6th Time I've Seen This "Inverted Y" Symbol in a Mysterious Orb
Photo date: October 25, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below shows a mysterious orb I photographed indoors.
This is the 6th time I have photographed an upside-down Y in a mysterious orb. The composite image below shows the photo above and the five other similar photos I have taken.
I am not able to find a well-documented explanation of the meaning of this symbol, although one poorly documented web site claims that the inverted Y symbol is a symbol for God (as does another poorly documented site).
The photos above were taken over various days in September and October of 2016, and in between taking each of these photos I took many other photos with the same camera that showed no such anomaly. So in each case when the inverted Y symbol appeared, the previous 30 photos with the same camera showed no such anomaly.
This recurring motif is one of only many recurring motifs I have noticed in striped orbs I have photographed. You can click on the links below to see other dramatic examples. See here for the original posts that contained the photos shown above and referred to below.

The 8th Time I've Seen This "Cul-de-sac" Motif in a Mysterious Orb
The top left corner of the photo below shows an orb I photographed next to a high window in Grand Central Terminal in New York on October 21, 2016. The other seven photos show orbs I previously photographed over the past few months, as reported here and here. Notice that all 8 photos have the same stripe pattern. The strange stripe looks rather like an aerial view of a winding road ending in a cul-de-sac, so I'm going to start calling this the "cul-de-sac" motif. It is one of quite a few recurring motifs that are appearing in the mysterious orbs I photograph, as shown here (another being the "inverted Y" motif I have photographed 5 times, as shown here).
The photos taken here were only 8 of thousands of photos I took during a period of a few months, and the symbol above appeared only in these photos scattered among those thousands. After each photo was taken, there were dozens of other photos that showed no such symbol.
In six of the photos, the stripe begins or ends on the edge of the orb. In the third photo, the stripe begins on the edge of the orb, and ends on the edge of a flag.

I notice three similarities between this orb and an orb recently photographed by ace orb photographer Candice Wong: both are bright blue, both have outer rings, and both have a kind of dimple feature in the center.
Speaking of Candice, check out this photo she has posted of mysterious floating diamond shapes.

White Orbs Get Patriotic
The photos below (taken on October 13 and 21, 2016) show a large flag at Grand Central Terminal in New York. These are some of the very many photos I have taken showing mysterious orbs near this flag.
Mysterious Motif: Another Orb With a Curved Shadow Stripe
The top left photo shows a mysterious orb I photographed on October 20, 2016. The other five photos shows orbs I previously photographed (they are part of this series of posts). Notice the recurrence of the arch-like curve motif. In five of these photos we see not just a stripe, but a very distinctive type of stripe that clothes makers call a shadow stripe (in which a larger stripe is flanked by a thin stripe).
See here for other types of recurring motifs I am seeing in mysterious orbs, such as an "inverted Y" motif I have photographed 5 times.

Strange Arches of the Orb Veils
Photo date: October 21, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
I took the photos below while photographing nothing but ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark background. We see some of the strange objects I call orb veils. These ones have an arch-shaped look.

Recurring Motif: The 5th Time I've Seen This "Inverted Y" Pattern in a Mysterious Orb
Photo date: October 20, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below shows an orb I photographed indoors. We see an upside-down Y pattern in the orb.
This is the fifth time I have photographed this upside-down Y pattern. Below are four previous orbs I photographed with the same pattern, as reported here:
I am seeing the most dramatic phenomenon of recurring motifs in the orbs I photograph. See here for about 10 other examples in which we see the same very distinctive markings repeated between 2 and 6 times in different orbs.
The inverted Y we see here resembles the lowercase version of the "lambda" letter in the Greek alphabet. Cosmologists use that symbol to represent the cosmological constant, one of the key determinants of cosmic order.
The photos taken here were only 5 of hundreds of photos I took during a two-month period, and the symbol above appeared only in these 5 photos scattered among those hundreds. After each photo was taken, there were dozens of other photos that showed no such symbol.

The Split Aura of the Bright Sky Orb
Photo date: October 17, 2016. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below shows a bright orb next to a building in New York City (and a red orb above that orb). The object was not the moon.
A closeup of the orb shows the "split aura" I have often observed (as shown here). Half of the aura is red, and the other half is orange.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night.
