I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. In each photo we see a motif consisting of two holes or dark circles close to each other, in the top left of an orb. Such a motif persisted through 500+ photos, with the motif occuring thousands of times.
