Like a Spoon Gradually Filling With Sugar

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. We see orbs with a hole shape that looks like the head of a spoon. Strangely towards the end of the series we see something that looks like how it would look if the spoon were to gradually fill up with sugar. 

Now we start to see the "spoon gradually filling with sugar" effect. 

In the final photos, it is rather as if the spoon is all filled with sugar.
